On October 24, 2025, Ignatius Slamet Riyadi Junior High School held a special English day combining two major activities: a visit from a Teach Cast teacher and the English Ambassadors’ Monthly Halloween Event. Both programs were fully supported and designed by the English Ambassadors (EA), showcasing their leadership, creativity, and teamwork.
Teach Cast Teacher Visit
Two main activities took place during the visit:
The first activity is a debate session. Students volunteered enthusiastically to join a live debate. Debate topics were chosen randomly by the Teach Cast teachers from a list prepared by the English Ambassadors. The visiting teachers shared positive feedback, saying that the debate was “one of the most interesting activities” because it helped students practice defending their opinions and thinking critically in English.
The second activity is class performances. All classes from Grades 7, 8, and 9 presented English performances, ranging from short dramas and storytelling to songs and creative skits. The Teach Cast teachers served as a judge, using scoring rubrics designed by the English Ambassadors. Students participated with high enthusiasm, showing confidence and creativity throughout the event
Halloween Monthly Event
Alongside the Teach Cast visit, the English Ambassadors also held their Monthly EA Event: Halloween Event. Students were allowed to come in Halloween-themed costumes, ranging from spooky, funny, to creative looks. The school atmosphere was filled with excitement as both EA members and non-EA students joined the fun. The activities included Halloween games and the best costume award. The Halloween theme added a joyful and festive touch to the day, making the event even more memorable for all participants.
The entire day highlighted the capability and dedication of the English Ambassadors. From planning Teach Cast Teacher Visitation to running the Halloween program, the EAs demonstrated outstanding leadership and teamwork.
The combined Teach Cast visit and Halloween Event were a great success. Students gained valuable English practice through real interactions, creative performances, and fun activities. We extend our appreciation to the Teach Cast teachers and congratulate all English Ambassadors for their hard work, creativity, and spirit.
